Changes in parking system of Raipur Airport, important meeting held

Raipur: Preparations are underway for major changes in the parking system of Swami Vivekananda International Airport. Under this, there is a plan to completely stop the cash system in airport parking. The airport management has taken this decision in view of the continuous complaints being received against the parking contractor.

Let us tell you that complaints of arbitrary fee collection and extortion from people in airport parking have become common. After the news was published in the media, the airport management swung into action, held a meeting and issued a notice to the parking contractor and summoned him. Apart from the parking contractor, heads of commercial and operations departments and chief security officer of AAI also attended the meeting.

It was decided in this meeting to install RFID and automatic collection of parking fees through FastTag as soon as possible to reduce any human intervention. The agency has been directed to complete the installation and commissioning of the system within 7 working days.
