Girl riding scooter crushed by truck
Haridwar. A girl riding a scooter was crushed by a truck in Pathri police station area. The police took the body into custody and sent it for post-mortem. As soon as information about the incident was received, nearby villagers gathered at the spot in large numbers. They created a huge ruckus by blocking the road with the buggy. The police hardly pacified the villagers.
Sushma (24 years old), daughter of Lal Singh, resident of Ferrupur, who was posted as a clerk in Ambuwala post office, was returning home on her scooter. As soon as he reached the track, an overloaded truck filled with sugarcane hit him from behind. Due to which she fell down and the wheel of the truck ran over her. Due to which he died on the spot. Within some time, nearby villagers and a large number of women gathered at the spot. By placing the buggy on the way, they blocked the road and created a huge ruckus. SO Ravindra Kumar said that the truck has been taken into custody. The driver is being searched.
