Polling personnel performing their responsibilities in remote and sensitive areas were honored
Kanker. Under the assembly elections, voting was completed on November 7 in all three assembly constituencies of the district, Antagarh, Bhanupratappur and Kanker. There are many such inaccessible and security sensitive areas in Pakhanjoor and Antagarh tehsil of Antagarh assembly constituency of the district, where it was not easy to go and conduct voting.
It was not easy for any polling party or security personnel to discharge their election related responsibilities with full dedication even in such adverse circumstances. In such a situation, Collector and District Election Officer Dr. Priyanka Shukla and SP Divyang Patel on Saturday presented citations to the polling personnel who performed their responsibilities well keeping in view the highest priority of the elections, not only for their indomitable courage. Not only appreciated but also saluted the spirit of the polling personnel who performed the assigned responsibilities with full dedication. During this, polling staff also shared their experiences. In the felicitation program organized today at 11.30 am in the Collectorate meeting hall, the Collector praised all the polling personnel and praised them wholeheartedly for discharging the assigned responsibilities with indomitable courage even in adverse circumstances.
He congratulated all the employees who walked several kilometers to reach the polling station in sensitive areas and who reached the polling station by helicopter and completed the voting process successfully. SP Patel present on this occasion also appreciated the work of all the polling officers present and praised their unprecedented courage.
Meanwhile, Ankalram Dhruv lecturer, polling officer of Panidobri polling station number 152 of Antagarh assembly constituency, said that this was his third time on duty in the highly sensitive area and his team was taken to the polling booth through helicopter. During this, he shared his experiences regarding his election related responsibilities.
Similarly, polling officer of Machhapalli (Pakhanjur) center Bhupesh Yadav and polling officers of Sanvaliparas, Kongera, Kurushbodi (Manjhi-2), Kadve polling centers shared their personal experiences before the Collector-SP. During this, the entire meeting hall echoed with thunderous applause. After this, the officials honored all the present polling personnel one by one by presenting them citations.
Among those who went to vote by helicopter in the felicitation ceremony organized in the meeting room of the district office, polling stations of Antagarh tehsil number-148 Gudabeda, Kesekodi number-149, Panidobri-1 number-151, Panidobri-2 number-152, Kongera number-218, Officers and employees of Mulle number-219, Gawadi number-220 and Kiskodo number-221 were honoured.
Similarly, among the officers and employees who conducted the voting on foot in Tehsil Antagarh area by the Collector, primary school Savlibaras (Huratarai) polling center number 153, primary school Sambalpur number 133, primary school Porondi (Manjhikurusbodi-2) number 136, primary school Bhattipara. Officers and employees of Alanar Number-217 were honored with citations. Polling station number 71 of Pakhanjur tehsil is Padenga-1, Irpanar number-77, Gopalpur number-78, Belgal number-85, Chittaranjan Nagar number-91, Swaroopnagar PV-62 number 121, Machapalli number-122 and Achinpur PV-94 polling station number. -123 officers and employees were honoured. On this occasion, DFO Bhanupratappur Jadhav Shri Krishna, CEO of District Panchayat. And Sweep’s nodal officer Sumit Aggarwal, Additional Collector BS Uike and S. Ahirwar along with returning officer Antagarh A.S. Paikra, Assistant Returning Officer Vishwas Kumar and other officials were present.
