6 killed in accident in Himachal Pradesh
Six people were killed and several others injured after their vehicle fell into a ravine near Sunni in Shimla district on Monday morning, police said. The incident took place at Kararaghat, about 35 km from here, when the driver of a truck carrying workers coming from Jammu and Kashmir lost control of the vehicle, police said. Police said the workers were going from Sunni to the market. Police said three workers died on the spot and several others were declared dead by doctors when they were taken to the hospital. Police said that these children are undergoing treatment at Universitario Medical Indira Gandhi (IGMCH) hospital. Superintendent of Police Sanjeev Kumar Gandhi told PTI that the deceased have been identified as Farid (24), Gulab (43), Sahbir (19), Talib (23), Gulzar (30) and Mustaq (30). Police said the robbers included Ranjeet, who was driving the car, Aslam, Talib Hussain, Akash Kumar, Ajay Thakur and Manzoor. He said that a case has been registered and they are investigating.
