A lawyer was cheated of Rs 1 lakh 23 thousand, a clever person cheated by pretending to be a court clerk

Durg: Durg District Court lawyer Balram Singh became a victim of online fraud. By calling her on her mobile, the swindler introduced himself as an officer of the Anticorruption Court. He said that he knows him and meets him in court every day. After this, he duped the lawyer of Rs 1.25 lakh. The matter is of Mohan Nagar police station area.

In the complaint given to the police, Balram Singh told that he is a resident of Hanuman Nagar Titurdih Durg and is a lawyer in Durg District Court. A call came on his mobile at 4.30 pm on 6 September 2023. The caller introduced himself as an officer of the Anticorruption Court.

The caller told his problem to the lawyer and said that he was in great need of money. Some money is coming from outside, but online transfer is not possible. So help me. The amount that is going to come, transfer it to your account.

By luring the lawyer, the swindler took the bank details and gave them to him. After this, he got the lawyer to transfer Rs 25,000 by luring him into conversation. When the lawyer said that the money had not arrived in his wallet, the swindler said that the transaction was stuck. Having said this, Rs 1 lakh 23 thousand 990 was transferred. After this he disconnected the phone and switched it off.
