A massive fire broke out in a chartered bus, creating chaos
Vidisha. A chartered bus suddenly caught fire near village Chakpatni on National Highway 146 Sagar Road on Monday afternoon, causing panic among the passengers traveling in the bus. It was fortunate that no passenger suffered any harm. CSP Rajesh Tiwari told that a chartered bus was going from Bhopal to Sagar in the afternoon. Suddenly smoke started coming out from the engine at the rear near Chakpatni, then the driver parked the car on the side and took out all the passengers and the luggage in it. He was also taken out. By then the bus had caught fire.
It burnt to ashes within a short time. According to eyewitnesses, no one had reached within half an hour of dialing 100 and informing the fire brigade. Clouds of fire were rising on the road, due to which traffic was stopped. There was a traffic jam on the road for about an hour. Villagers said that due to the fire in the bus, the diesel tank also burst. People were frightened by the loud explosion. After this, the municipal fire brigade was sent which controlled the fire, although by then the bus was burnt. There were 23 passengers in the bus who were sent by other vehicles. The bus driver said the cause of the fire was short circuit.
