A middle aged man committed suicide by hanging himself from a neem tree.

Varanasi. Chhannu Gupta (50) of Bikapur village of Chaubepur police station area committed suicide on Friday night by making a noose of his wife’s saree in front of his house from a neem tree. He was addicted to alcohol. Due to this alcohol, his distance from the family increased and he had to walk himself in the face of death. According to information, Chhannu Gupta was married to Sunita Devi of Niyardih in Ghazipur district. He has three children Supriya (30), Sona (13) and son Ashirsh (17). According to family members, Channu used to come home after drinking alcohol. There was often a dispute with his wife. Fed up with his daily antics, the wife had gone to her maternal home with her three children. On Friday night, he reached home drunk and went to sleep in the room. In the morning people saw that his dead body was hanging from a neem tree in front of the house. After this a crowd of people gathered. On receiving the information, the police and forensic team reached. After investigation of the spot, the dead body was sent for postmortem. When the information of his death was given to his wife, she reached with the crying children.
