A three-day gardening show will be organized from Saturday
Guwahati: The eighth edition of the Assam International Agri-Horti Show will begin in the state capital Guwahati on Saturday.
State Agriculture Minister Atul Bora said on Thursday that Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma will inaugurate the three-day program.
The minister further said that apart from more than 30 scientists, ambassadors or senior officials of 11 countries will participate in the event. Minister Bora said, “Many educated, unemployed youth are coming forward to join the agro-horticulture sector. There will be a total of 450 stalls in the program and more than 10,000 farmers are expected to participate.”
Atul Bora said, “Buyers and sellers meet; There will also be a business meet program. Many farmers and youth of the state told me that they are inspired by this agri-horti show.”
