A young man from Barmasiya, who had gone to see the Dhanbad fair, was beaten to death.

Jharkhand ; A youth from Barmasiya was murdered on Sunday by being attacked with sticks and stones. The incident happened late night on Ashtami Tithi of Durga Puja. The youth has been identified as 20-year-old Manohar Kumar alias Munna Sharma of Barmasia Shaktinagar.
On the day of the incident, he along with his friends Suraj Yadav, Vikas Rajak and Vivek Kumar had gone out on two bikes to watch Durga Puja, but on the way he had a dispute with some youths living in Bhishtipada near Pampu Talab in Watch and Ward Colony. A minor altercation turned into a fight. His friends managed to escape, but Manohar got trapped in their clutches. The youth beat him with thorny bamboo, due to which he became half dead. He later died in the hospital.

After the incident, angry family members and local people surrounded the Dhanbad police station. Later, FIR was registered on the statement of Munna’s father Yogendra Sharma. Police are continuously conducting raids in search of the accused.

Drinking alcohol on the road, fighting for blowing horn
Manohar’s cousin Birju Sharma told in the hospital that Manohar and his friends were going for puja on bike. 10-15 unidentified people including Rohit Yadav alias Dabang, Karka Yadav and his brother Vikas Yadav, residents of Bhishtipada near Pampu pond of Loco Tank, were sitting on the road and drinking alcohol. Manohar sounded the horn of the car and asked them to move out of the way.

On this the youth of Bhishtipada started abusing. When he protested, they attacked him with sticks. After the attack, the rest of the people ran away from the spot, but everyone surrounded Manohar, caught him and started beating him.

Told that a stone was thrown on Munna who became unconscious. In an unconscious state, Munna was thrown into the dense bushes on the banks of Pampu while his bike was thrown into the pond. Told that after being chased away from the spot, his companions reached their locality and took people to Pampu pond. At first no one was found there. After some time, after searching, we saw that Manohar was lying in the bushes bleeding in an unconscious state. His bike is thrown in the pond. He was immediately picked up and taken to SNMMCH, where doctors declared him dead.
