A young man was crossing the track with earphones on, then an accident happened
Betul : A young man and a woman were seriously injured in a train accident on Sunday at Ghodadongri and Betul railway stations in the district. The young man was hit by a train while crossing the tracks wearing earphones, while the woman Memo fell from the train. Both have been admitted to the district hospital in a seriously injured condition.
According to the information received, 23-year-old Durgesh Borse, resident of village Bajpur, wore earphones from home on Sunday morning and went for a walk on the side of the track near Ghoradongri railway station. Meanwhile, Jodhpur Puri Express came on the track and he collided with it. When the train driver saw the young man passing near the tracks near Ghodadongri railway station, he tried to stop the train but before the train could stop, the young man collided with him.
GRP police took him in injured condition to Ghoradongri hospital where after first aid he was referred to the district hospital. The second incident took place at Betul railway station. 65 year old Shakun Bai, resident of Amla, was coming from Amla to Betul by boarding Memo train. Meanwhile, even before the Memo train stopped at Betul railway station, this woman started getting down from the moving Memo train due to which she fell on the platform. This caused serious injury to him. GRP admitted the woman in critical condition to the district hospital where she is being treated.
