Abhishek’s treble foils Chicalim’s comeback

Chicalim SC and Mormugao United SCC clashed at the Cansaulim ground in the GFA 2nd Division League on Tuesday, with Mormugao coming out on top 4-3.

Mormugao United SCC wasted no time in establishing their dominance, with Abhishek Singh scoring the first goal in the sixth minute. Deepak Bind doubled their lead in the 19th minute by putting Chicalim SC on the backfoot. However, Chicalim refused to surrender, with Aaron Fernandes pulling back only one

The second half was full of ups and downs for both sides. Chicalim SC equalized through Elestyn Perera in the 63rd minute, but the lead was short-lived as Abhishek Singh again rose to the occasion and completed his two-goal tally in the 80th minute.

Just when it looked like Mormugao United SCC had secured victory, Livan Pinto scored a dramatic equalizer in the 83rd minute to give Chicalim SC the lead.

As the clock was ticking down and the tension was at its highest, Abhishek Singh once again stepped up and completed his hat-trick in the 87th minute to snatch victory for Mormugao United SCC.
