His brother-in-law Mahesh Maske and his wife Sandhya Raute also helped. Sampat Rao Raote is originally from Nashik. He obtained gold from bullion traders and melted it to make jewellery. In the last 10 to 15 days, he collected 15 to 20 kg of gold and about Rs 15 lakh from bullion traders and closed the shop and ran away. The traders became suspicious as the shop was closed for a few days and called Sampat Rao Rabte, Suraj, Mahesh Mask and his wife Sandhya, but their phones were also switched off. When I reached home the door was also closed. Traders said that Sampat Rao Rabte planned the entire incident for several days.
From one merchant she got a bracelet to show to the customer, and from another she got earrings and a necklace. About a month ago, he had said in the market that he wanted to return with his family in the first week of December as he had a marriage. After arranging the marriage, he asked me to come back on 23rd of Azar. The traders said they asked them to pay all the bills before leaving. After this he managed to escape last Friday. On the other hand, they borrowed money from traders. Before fleeing from Jade Square, he had also done shopping at Bada Chauraha.
