ACB will not take action against Anil Tuteja and Yash Tuteja for the time being, High Court put a stay
Bilaspur. Chhattisgarh High Court has stayed any punitive action against former IAS officer Anil Tuteja and his son Yash Tuteja, accused in the liquor scam. It may be noted that the investigation into the alleged liquor scam that took place during the Congress rule was started by the Enforcement Directorate, which has been handed over to the state government agencies ACB and EOW a few days ago. The Supreme Court had earlier stayed the action against the FIR registered by ED in the liquor scam. When the ACB investigation started, Tuteja again filed a petition in the Supreme Court, but the top court was asked to go to the High Court. The petition filed by Tuteja in the High Court was heard today.
On behalf of the petitioner, his advocates Rajeev Srivastava and Siddharth Aggarwal said that earlier a crime has been registered in Noida, UP in the same case. Two crimes cannot be registered in the same case. After the hearing, the bench of Justice NK Chandravanshi has stayed any kind of punitive action against Anil Tuteja and Yash Tuteja till further orders. The court has issued a notice to the ACB and directed it to submit its reply.
