Accident near Jaistambh Chowk, person died

Saraipali: Today a truck hit a person near Jai Stambh Chowk, the busiest area of Saraipali Nagar, due to which he died on the spot. The deceased Saraipali has been identified as Bodram Sahu, a resident of Sanjay Nagar, who was from a very poor family. He used to run his family by sewing bags and selling them. After receiving information about the death by truck, people of Sanjay Nagar ward reached the spot and sat on the road demanding compensation for the family of the deceased, who were removed after much persuasion and were assured of compensation.

After this incident, the police have caught the truck and the driver. Telling the local people that during the festival season, there is continuous movement of heavy vehicles in and out of the city due to which accidents are taking place and if this is not stopped then there is a possibility of more accidents happening in the future and the administration will soon take strict action regarding this.
