Nationalist Congress Party (NCP) chief Sharad Pawar on Sunday claimed that the Congress will come to power in Karnataka. Karnataka is currently ruled by the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). Talking to reporters in the pilgrimage city of Pandharpur, about 350 km from Mumbai, the 82-year-old leader said that in the current situation, the BJP is in power in “five to six” states, while the rest have non-BJP governments.

Only because of the cleverness of Eknath Shinde, they managed to get power in Maharashtra.” Assembly elections in Karnataka will be held on May 10 and the counting of votes will take place on May 13.
There are BJP governments in five to six states
Pawar said the BJP came to power in Madhya Pradesh after horse-trading of some Congress MLAs during Kamal Nath’s chief ministership. He said, “There is no BJP government in Rajasthan, Delhi, Punjab and Bengal. If you look at the entire map of the country, only five to six states have BJP governments and the remaining states have non-BJP governments.” What will happen in the elections?
