Accused arrested under NDPS Act, police took major action
Raipur. Under the guidance of Senior Superintendent of Police Santosh Singh and under the guidance of Additional Superintendent of Police Rural Kirtan Rathore and supervision of City Superintendent of Police Kesharanandan Nayak, under the campaign Nijaat*, which is being run to effectively curb the drug trade, the police station Tilda Nevra was informed by the informer. After receiving information about selling illegal drugs, the information was verified and the accused was arrested by taking legal action for illegally possessing the illegal drug Ganja. Thus, information was received from the informer that near Tilda Railway Crossing, a person aged about 23 years was keeping the drug Ganja in a white plastic bag.
As per the information given by the informer, after reaching the spot of the incident and catching the accused, on asking his name and address, his name was Rupesh Jangde, father late. Rajendra Jangde, aged 23 years, resident of Ward 22, near Bannu Bai Talab, Tilda district, Raipur, Chhattisgarh, said that during the search, illegal narcotic substance like Ganja worth Rs 16000 was found inside a bag in the possession of the accused, which was seized and a case was registered against the accused at Police Station Tilda Nevra. Crime number 173/2024 under Section 20 (B) NDPS Act was registered and the accused was arrested and sent to judicial custody.
