Accused forced to lick spit and garland shoes after complaining of ‘harassment’ accused arrested

Siddharthnagar: A 75-year-old man was forced to use shoes and spit his saliva in a village here, police said on Friday.
According to police, the incident happened on Thursday and came to light through a video that surfaced on social networks.

Police said that the victim was Mohabbat Ali, a resident of Tighra village, on whose face ink was also smeared.

Police arrested four people allegedly involved in insulting Ali.

SHO Ajaynath Kannaujia of Golhaura Police Commissionerate said that the accused have been identified as Zafar, Aman Pandey, Akhilesh Sahni and Ghanshyam Tiwari.

A case has been registered against him under charges of unlawful restraint, causing hurt, disorderly conduct, intentional insult and criminal intimidation, Kannaujiya said.
