Action taken on 12 heavy vehicle drivers entering no entry
Durg: In compliance with the instructions given by the District Magistrate and Superintendent of Police to prevent road accidents, a few days ago, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Traffic Satish Thakur, and Inspector Vishnu Thakur, Transport Department, took a meeting with the owners of heavy goods vehicles and declared no entry on rural roads. But an explanation was given for not allowing heavy vehicles to enter.
But when 12 heavy vehicle drivers were found not following the instructions given, action was taken under the section of Motor Vehicle Act and a fine of Rs 24000 was collected. Similarly, action was taken against a total of 55 vehicles parked at no parking creating obstruction on the road in Indira Market Durg and Bus Stand. This action by the traffic police will continue in future also.
