Action taken on agricultural shop, ban on selling pesticides

Janjgir. Instructions have been given by Collector Richa Prakash Chaudhary for surprise inspection of all the shops selling seeds, fertilizers, pesticides in the district. On his instructions, DDA has formed a team of Agriculture Department. Surprise inspection of the shops operating in the district was done by the inspection team on Friday. On finding irregularities, 2 establishments were sealed and 1 shop has been banned from selling goods. A show cause notice was issued to the operator of a shop.

Pesticides Act 1968 and Insecticides Rules 1971 for not having a valid source certificate in the license of Messrs Gupta Agricultural Center in village Kamrid of Block Baloda, operated in Pendri village of Nawagarh development block and Rohit Agricultural Center operating in Pendri village As per the provisions of the Act, action was taken to ban the sale by sealing the concerned establishments.
