Action will be taken against officers and employees of Sarangarh Upjail, High Court’s order

Bilaspur. A case of beating of prisoners has come to light from the Justice Court of Chhattisgarh. Actually, this case of beating of prisoners and online extortion has been seen in Bilaspur Sarangarh Upjail. A public interest litigation has been heard on this matter.

Whereas DG Jail presented its reply in the High Court along with an affidavit. After studying the reply, the Division Bench said that it has become clear that the condition of the prisoners is not good. Instructions have been given to investigate the entire matter and take action against the guilty officers and employees. After the action, the court directed to inform DG Jail about the entire matter. The next hearing in the case will be fixed after six weeks.
