Action will be taken against those who put up hoardings and banners without permission

Punitive action will be taken against those who place advertisements without permission on unipoles installed in the corporation area, large hoardings installed on the roofs of buildings and LED screens installed at intersections. In view of the Model Code of Conduct effective in view of the Assembly elections, the Corporation has directed all the advertising agencies that it is necessary to obtain permission for any kind of political advertisement.
On the instructions of Returning Officer of Bhilai Nagar Assembly and Corporation Commissioner Rohit Vyas, the staff of Bhilai Corporation is continuously monitoring the advertisements broadcast on all the unipoles, big hoardings and LED screens installed in the corporation area by the corporation’s overlords and agencies. All the advertising agencies have been asked to check whether the location, number and size of boards are duly permitted before airing political advertisements, for how many days is the hoardings allowed to be put up, at which place the permission for advertising should be continuously monitored. If advertisements are posted without permission, punitive action will be taken against them. Last week, the demolition squad took action to remove banners and hoardings of Unipol put up without permission in Khursipar, GE Road, Main Road.
