Actor Vijay Verma does not want to play the role of serial killer
Mumbai: Actor Vijay Verma was recently seen in the web series ‘Kalkoot’. His series was released on the OTT platform Jio Cinema. Apart from this, the actor appeared in Netflix’s web series ‘Lust Stories 2’ alongside actress Tamannaah Bhatia. His series was well liked. Vijay Varma has become Bollywood’s favorite bad guy after Alia Bhatt’s Darlings and Dahad. The actor made his debut in the industry with the 2012 film ‘Chittagong’ and then played the lead role in the 2013 film ‘Monsoon Shootout’. After this, the actor also appeared in Zoya Akhtar’s ‘Gully Boy’. Vijay played a cruel husband in ‘Darlings’ and a serial killer in Dahad. After this, the actor became the first choice of the makers for the role of serial killer.
Recently in a conversation with a media house, the actor said that he has received several offers to play the role of a serial killer, but he has been turning them all down. In an interview, Vijay said that the character ‘Hamza’ in Darlings attracted him because he was a serious character from start to finish. He said, “It is not that I am saying no to the character of Bad Guy, I just want to get a character that surprises me. ‘Hamza’ in Darlings took me by surprise. I have never seen a character like him on screen.
Talking about playing a serial killer in Dahad, the actor said, “I played a serial killer in Dahad. I knew I could do it and I did. Now I’m saying no to two serial killer stories a week. I tell them that I am done with my serial killer character and don’t want to play a serial killer ever again.

On the work front, the actor will be next seen in ‘The Devotion of Suspect X’ with Kareena Kapoor, Homi Adajania’s film ‘Murder Mubarak’ with Sara Ali Khan and the much-awaited series ‘Mirzapur 3’. The actor was last seen in ‘Lust Stories 2’ with his lady love Tamannaah Bhatia.
