ADBA welcomes Punnayya Chowdhary with doctorate degree
Srikakulam: Doctorate presented to K Punnayya Chowdary regarding sports by St Mother Theresa University of Australia is an apt honour for sports and particularly for badminton, said Srikakulam District Badminton Association (SDBA) representatives. In a press release here on Tuesday, SDBA representatives N Mohan, T Appala Naidu, A VenuGopala Rao, D Rajendra Kumar and others said presentation of doctorate is a suitable honour and proper recognition for the field of sports in general and badminton in particular. They said the doctorate was presented to Punnayya Chowdary at Kuala Lumpur in Malaysia by the vice-chancellor of St Mother Theresa University of Australia. The SDBA representatives said Chowdary was well qualified for the doctorate as he strived hard for promoting badminton in India, particularly in AP, they lauded.
