Adilabad: Four interstate members who lifted the bike were caught
Adilabad: Four members of an inter-state gang were arrested for lifting two-wheelers in different parts of the district. His scene included seven motorcycles, an auto-rickshaw, a television, a photographic camera and silver jewellery.
Giving information about the arrest to the journalists here on Monday, Superintendent of Police Gaush Alam said that Mohammad Ajaz, T Ajay, M Rajeshwar and Sheikh Sameer have been arrested from different places of the district headquarters. The trial of Syed Munwar alias Bablu Khan, who hails from Kinwat, Maharashtra, is ongoing.
When interrogated, all four confessed to forming a gang and committing the crime. They confessed to looting five two-wheelers in Adilabad and one rickshaw and two motorcycles in Nizamabad. He revealed that he sold two vehicles to Munwar and kept the rest at his residence in Adilabad city.
A special team formed by senior, Central Station of Crime and Adilabad city detectives conducted a joint investigation on the increase of bicycles in Adilabad city. They succeeded in separating the bands with the help of images recorded by closed-circuit television cameras at the crime scene.
Present were DSP P Srinivas, Inspectors K Satyanarayana and D Sainath and Sub Inspector Lakshmaiah.
