After cabinet formation, new appointments will be made in corporation, board and commission.
Raipur. After the formation of the BJP government in the state, some leaders had resigned on their own, while some leaders were still holding their posts. The General Administration Department has issued letters to the departments and ordered them to cancel the old appointments. Now BJP will appoint its leaders in corporations, boards and commissions. According to the information, it may take one to one and a half months for complete recruitment on more than 200 posts in different departments. After the formation of the cabinet, posts will be distributed afresh among the boards and corporations.
After the formation of BJP government in the state, taking another major decision, the government has dissolved the appointments made by Congress in Corporations, Commissions and Boards. The Congress government had appointed its leaders in different departments. BJP leaders are demanding the removal of Raipur Municipal Corporation and other bodies before their tenure ends. Now, as soon as the BJP government is formed, efforts to dissolve the Congress Municipal Corporation, Municipality and Nagar Panchayats have started. If senior BJP leaders are to be believed, as soon as the BJP government with full majority is formed in the state, there are murmurs of dissolving the Congress-held Municipal Corporation, Municipality and Nagar Panchayat and holding fresh elections. In all the Municipal Corporations, Municipal Corporations and Nagar Panchayats including the capital, the mayors and presidents of Congress have to be removed under any circumstances and BJP people should be installed, by bringing no-confidence motion in those bodies where the number of BJP councilors is slightly less than that of Congress councilors. Will be removed and wherever Congress councilors are in majority, BJP leaders are demanding dissolution of the bodies under some rule. Already, preparations are underway to bring no-confidence motion in many bodies.
After the new government’s order to dissolve the corporation boards, the demand to remove Congressmen from the civic bodies has become stronger. BJP councilors of all the bodies have united to dissolve the corporation.
BJP leaders have written a letter to the Urban Administration Secretary asking for a report regarding the schemes run by the corporation in which corruption has taken place the most. A proposal has been sought regarding the formation of municipalities along with the formation of separate municipalities in the state.
