After CM’s announcement, 1260 roads in 11 districts of the state

Kaithal. Implementing the announcements of the Chief Minister, the Marking Board has now transferred a total of 1260 roads of the state to the Zilla Parishad in 11 districts. Now the Zilla Parishad will take over the responsibility of maintaining the local roads of the villages. In the first phase, 1260 roads in 11 districts have been handed over to the Zilla Parishad. Estimates worth Rs 153.61 crore have been made for special repair or annual repair of 997 roads in these 11 districts.

Now Zilla Parishad officials will conduct survey of these roads in their respective districts. In this survey, it will be known which road needs repair and how much will be spent on repair and special repair. After this, the roads will be renovated through tender process. At present those roads have been transferred. Which is outside DLP.

An estimate of Rs 4.7 crore has been made for the annual repair of 288 roads in districts Jhajjar, Kaithal, Mahendragarh, Rewari, Rohtak and Sonipat. Whose length is 725.47 kilometers. A budget of Rs 62.37 crore is in the pipeline for special repair of 108 roads.

The length of these roads is 388.61 kilometers. An estimate of Rs 86.54 crore was made for 601 roads of Karnal, Fatehabad, Bhiwani, Palwal and Yamunanagar. Out of which tenders worth Rs 11.2 crore for 373 roads have already been opened. Pradeep’s Sonipat, Shamsher Singh’s Kaithal, Pradeep Kumar’s Mahendragarh, Vijendra Singh Dhillon’s Rewari, Ajit Singh’s Rohtak and Vikas Yadav’s Jhajjar. Besides, two JEs have also been posted in each district.
