All 82 bridges in the Ahmedabad Municipal Corporation area will be tested. The state government has ordered testing of all bridges after the Morbi suspension bridge accident. All the bridges in Ahmedabad will be tested in three phases. In which Rs 22.10 per square meter will be paid for the first test of the bridge. Hatkeshwar bridge will eventually be demolished
The decision has been taken to demolish the Hatkeshwar bridge which has been in dispute for a long time. Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner M Thenarsan has announced this. Along with this, information has also been given to prepare a new bridge in two to two and a half years. It has been decided to demolish the Hatkeshwar bridge in Ahmedabad built at a cost of Rs 40 crore. The report of the expert committee has revealed that the performance of the bridge is poor. Whereas this bridge will now be demolished. At the same time action will be taken against the agency and the construction agency. Also, the Ahmedabad Municipal Commissioner has informed that a police complaint will be lodged in this matter.

The four-lane flyover in Hatkeshwar area of Ahmedabad city was inaugurated in 2017. But that bridge got dilapidated in no time.
