Ahmedabad: Woman’s bag stolen from train, gold jewelery and cash worth Rs 1 lakh found
Vadodara: A woman from Ahmedabad went from Kerala to Ahmedabad with her family in an AC coach of the train. Meanwhile, the thief’s eyes fell on the woman and he stole a bag filled with cash and gold jewelery worth more than Rs 1 lakh and ran away. So the woman lodged a complaint of theft at Vadodara railway station.
Asha Radishan Gangadharan, a resident of Satyadeep Heights in Makarba area of Ahmedabad, was traveling in an AC coach of Thiruvanveli-Bhavnagar Express from Kannur railway station in Kerala to Ahmedabad with her husband and son. At 2.30 in the night, Ashaben was sleeping when the thief was taking away cash and gold jewellery.
He ran away with the bag. Meanwhile, when he woke up from sleep, he did not find the bag left with him. When the train reached Vadodara railway station at five in the morning, despite searching in the coach, the bag was not found. A gold chain, ring and Rs 44 thousand in cash and a mobile phone worth Rs 1.04 lakh were found in the bag. Ashab has lodged a complaint of theft in the railway police station.
