Air service between Amritsar-Shimla will start from tomorrow
Shimla. With the start of air service between Amritsar and Shimla from Thursday, travel between the two major cities will become very easy. This information was given by Yogesh Kamra, Convener (India) of Amritsar Initiative. Shri Kamra said that the 350 kilometer journey which used to take about seven hours by road will now be covered in one hour. This announcement of Alliance Airline Company will greatly benefit the tourists and businessmen of both the major cities of Punjab and Himachal Pradesh.
Alliance Airline Company has started booking for this on its official website. He said that Alliance Air has decided to deploy ATR 42 aircraft for this. Which will fly three days a week on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday from Amritsar’s Guru Ramdas Ji International and Shimla’s SLV (Shimla Airport Terminal). This flight will cover the seven-hour road journey to Mars in one hour.
This flight will take off from Amritsar airport at 9.35 am and will land at Shimla airport at 10.35 am, whereas before this flight will take off from Shimla at 8.10 am and land at Amritsar airport at 9.10 am. Mr. Kamra says that tourists from Punjab visit Shimla, while devotees from Shimla come to Sachkhand to pay obeisance at Sri Harmandir Sahib. People of both the states will benefit from the start of Alliance Air flights to Shimla. On the other hand, Airport Director VK Seth said that all arrangements for this have been completed.
