‘Ama Odisha, Nabin Odisha’ scheme started in these districts

Bhubaneswar: Odisha Chief Minister Naveen Patnaik today launched the ‘Ama Odisha, Nabin Odisha’ scheme in Cuttack and Kendrapara districts to strengthen the infrastructure to build a new Odisha, an empowered Odisha.

Today, on the fourth day of the program, Patnaik launched the scheme in these two districts through virtual medium from Bhubaneswar. Each Panchayat of these districts will get Rs 50 lakh.

According to reports, Rs 186.50 crore has been sanctioned for eight constituencies in Cuttack district. These constituencies are Baramba, Chaudwar-Cuttack, Banki, Athagarh, Niyali, Cuttack Sadar, Salipur and Mangha. 5,351 projects will be implemented in 373 gram panchayats of these constituencies.

Similarly, Rs 124.50 crore has been sanctioned for five constituencies in Kendrapara district. These constituencies are Mahakalpara, Kendrapara, Patkura, Rajnagar and Aul. 3353 projects will be implemented in 249 gram panchayats.

Under this programme, the cultural base of Odisha will be strengthened through promotion of Jagannath culture in every panchayat, development of every place of worship as well as development of digital infrastructure. This will be the basis for building an aspirational Odisha. From our strong cultural foundation to the vast horizons of modern science, the new Odisha will spread its wings further, scale new heights and we will create a new Odisha, a new Odisha.

Speaking on the occasion, the Chief Minister informed that development of digital infrastructure in villages is one of the objectives of the scheme. He said the villages will get internet connectivity, science parks, skill development centres, works hubs and banking facilities.

Primary schools will also be included in this scheme. It will bring immense opportunities for our youth, women, farmers and students and will further brighten the identity of Odisha as a modern, strong, progressive and culturally aware state,” he said.

The Chief Minister said that development of all villages is our goal. Culture will be protected and modernity will develop in the villages. Everyone in the village will be guaranteed education and health. He said, developed villages will be the identity of modern Odisha.

The Chief Minister said that Odisha is the land of Jagannath. Universal love, peace, harmony, equality and service is the message of Jagannath culture. Irrespective of caste, religion and sect, it has made everyone its own.

“Under the Ama Odisha Nabeen Odisha scheme, Jagannath culture will be preserved in every village. Every place of worship will be developed. Heritage sites will be conserved. Preservation and conservation of these cultural and heritage sites is essential for our future generations,” the Chief Minister said.

He sought everyone’s cooperation for the successful implementation of Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha scheme and said that it will strengthen our infrastructure for an aspirational Odisha.

There was a large participation of people in today’s programs organized in eight constituencies of Cuttack district and five constituencies of Kendrapara district.

Coordinating the program, 5T Secretary VK Pandian said that the transformation work has created enthusiasm among the people.

Ministers Atanu Sabyasachi Nayak, Pratap Keshari Deb, and Ranendra Pratap Swain; MLA Shashi Bhushan Behera, Sabitri Agarwal, Dhrub Charan Sahu, Debi Prasad Mishra, Souvik Biswal, Debi Ranjan Tripathi, Dr. Pramod Mallik, Chandra Sarathi Behera, Prashant Behera, Pratap Jena; District Council Chairman; Member; Block chairman, local sarpanches and others participated in this program through virtual medium and said that a new era of development has started in the villages.

He said that in the last 23 years, continuous development has been taking place in Odisha under the leadership and direction of the Chief Minister. Today development has reached all the people of Odisha. Everyone was of the opinion that the development program of the Chief Minister has had an impact on every people of the state. He said that due to the visit of 5T Secretary, development in the district has improved and problems pending for many days have been resolved.

Participating in the program, 5T Secretary VK Pandian said that villages of Odisha will become development centers through the scheme ‘Ama Odisha Nabin Odisha’.

Village people will no longer have to depend on the city. Pandian gave information about the projects approved for various sectors after the Chief Minister’s visit. Keeping in mind the projects proposed by the people and its need, the Chief Minister has sanctioned funds under Ama Odisha, Nabin Odisha Scheme.

Pandian informed that the Chief Minister has sanctioned funds for all the districts under Ama Odisha Naveen Odisha scheme as well as special assistance program based on public grievance hearing.

Pandian said that Sikkim Raiyats of Kendrapara district will soon be given land lease. This will benefit 50 thousand families of the district. He said that their long standing problems would be resolved.
