Andhra Pradesh: Railways invites bids to lease land at Dharmavaram
Andhra Pradesh: Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA), a statutory authority of Indian Railways, has invited bids for lease of commercial development on a vacant land parcel located at Dharmavaram along Station Road, Andhra Pradesh.
The proposed land parcel with an estimated area of 14,164.50 square meters will be given on lease for 45 years and the reserve price of the land is ₹9.1 crore. The land parcel is located at approx. The 15.0 meter wide Station Road is adjacent to the Chennai-Anantapur Highway (NH-716), making it accessible from all parts of the city. The site comes under Ananthapuramu Hindupur Urban Development Authority.
Online Pre-Bid Meeting
Keen interest was expressed by leading developers from across the country in the online pre-bid meeting held on January 5, 2024 at 11:30 am. The last date for submission of e-bid is 22 January 2024 till 3 pm.

Being one of the major train junctions in Andhra Pradesh, the proposed land parcel with its easy accessibility across the city has immense development potential.
Rail Land Development Authority (RLDA) is a statutory authority under the Ministry of Railways for the development of railway land. It has four major mandates as part of its development plan, namely leasing out commercial sites, colony redevelopment, station redevelopment and multi-functional complexes.
During the current financial year, RLDA has leased out various sites which are located at Valtax Road and Ayanavaram (Chennai), Ajmer, Udaipur, Kota and Sawai Madhopur (Rajasthan), Bijwasan and Seva Nagar and Lodhi Colony (Delhi), Solapur (Maharashtra ) are situated. ), Old Howbag Station (Jabalpur), Gomti Nagar (Lucknow), Naliyapool Railway Colony (Dibrugarh) and Old Station Colony (Dhanbad) for a cumulative lease premium of ₹2504 crore, which includes railway assets of approx. Development worth ₹153.75 crore will be taken up in Seva Nagar and Lodhi Colony (Delhi), Ayanavaram (Chennai), Old Station Colony (Dhanbad) and Naliyapool Railway Colony (Dibrugarh).
RLDA has recently awarded the contract for station redevelopment works on EPC (Engineering Procurement and Construction) model for CSMT Railway Station and Ahmedabad Railway Station.
