Another big blow to Congress in Majha, big leaders join AAP

Chandigarh: Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) on Thursday gave a big blow to Congress in Majha region. Prominent face of Majha and Congress’s 2022 assembly election candidate from Majitha, Jagvinder Pal Singh, also known as Jagga Majitha, joined the Aam Aadmi Party. Chief Minister Bhagwant Mann officially inducted and welcomed him into the party. Jagwinder Pal Singh Jagga was a Congress worker since 1987 and was elected councilor in 1992. He became the General Secretary of Youth Punjab Congress in 1999 and was also given the responsibility of District President of Amritsar Rural in the early 2000s. He contested the 2022 Punjab Assembly elections on Congress ticket. Due to his political career and experience of more than 3 decades, he has a very good hold and influence in Majitha. Before the municipal elections in the state and the next general elections, many big leaders and prominent personalities in Punjab are turning to the Aam Aadmi Party. After welcoming Jagga Majitha into AAP, CM Mann said that the people of Punjab are very happy with the work and policies of the AAP government. He said that we are working diligently to take the state forward in every field and those leaders who want to work for the people of Punjab are welcome in the Aam Aadmi Party. Mann said that the party is becoming stronger day by day in every corner of the country. We have a record majority government in Punjab and people are joining us every day.
