Another chance for admission for free education in private schools of Uttarakhand

Under Section 12 (1) (c) of the Right to Education Act, the first phase of lottery on June 8, 2023 at the state level for the academic year 2023-24 in relation to 25 percent reserved seats for children belonging to disadvantaged and weaker sections in private schools Process completed.
According to the time table issued by the State Project Office, by July 5, the list of children admitted by the private school was to be compulsorily uploaded on the portal related to it. A total of 25325 students applied out of which 20834 were found correct and 17065 students were allotted desired schools on the basis of lottery. Thus, about 50 percent seats in private schools remained vacant.
There is no need for re-registration in the second phase related to admission of children in private schools. The seats for admission under the second phase will be displayed automatically by the portal after calculating the remaining seats in the registered private schools.
Those schools which were not able to register themselves earlier to participate in the admission process of the first phase, can register themselves on the portal for this phase.
The students who have been selected in private schools through lottery under the first phase of the academic session 2023-24, the district should ensure that such students do not apply again.
Students who had applied under the first phase of academic session 2023-24 but were rejected due to error in their application form / document / certificate, they can remove the error in their application form. Students will be given an opportunity to rectify their error.
Such students whose applications are found correct but are not selected in the lottery need not apply again. Such students will also be able to fill their new options in the light of the schools available for this phase only on their earlier application form on the portal.
