Another special train between Odisha and Bihar for Chhath Puja
Bhubaneswar: With a view to accommodating the surge in passenger numbers on regular trains and ensuring the convenience of travelers, the East Coast Railway (ECoR) has announced the operation of an additional Special Train dedicated to Chhath Puja, connecting Puri and Jayanagar.
This Special Train originating from Puri will be designated as the 08419 Puri-Jayanagar Special Train, departing from Puri at 2330hrs (11.30 p.m.) on Thursday, November 16th, 2023. On its return journey, the train from Jayanagar will be identified as the 08420 Jayanagar-Puri Special, departing at 2330hrs (11.30 p.m.) on Friday, November 17th, 2023.
The Chhath Special service between Puri and Jayanagar will make stops at Khurda Road, Bhubaneswar, Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Bhadrak, Balasore, Hijli, Midnapur, Bishnupur, Bankura, Adra, Asansol, Madhupur, Jashidih, Jhajha, Kiul, Barauni, Samastipur, Laheria Sarai, Darbhanga, Sakri, and Madhubani in both directions.
