Approval issued for upgrading Pachpadra’s Gol Station Sub Health Center to Primary Health Center
Medical and Health Minister Mr. Parsadi Lal Meena said in the Vidhan Sabha on Wednesday that administrative and financial approval has been issued to upgrade Gol Station Sub Health Center to Primary Health Center in Pachpadra Assembly Constituency. He told that against the requirement of 8 primary health centers in Panchayat Samiti Balotra, 9 primary health centers and 6 primary health centers against the requirement of 5 primary health centers in Kalyanpur Panchayat Samiti have been approved. .
During the Question Hour, the Medical and Health Minister said in a written reply to the original question of MLA Shri Madan Prajapat that by the order of the State Government dated May 12, 2023, Sub Health Center Gol Station Panchayat Samiti Balotra District Barmer has been upgraded to Primary Health Center. Administrative and financial approval has been issued. He informed that at present sub-health centers are approved in village Sarana Panchayat Samiti Balotra and village Kudi Panchayat Samiti Kalyanpur in district Barmer.
Mr. Meena said that according to the criteria set by the central government, there is a provision to open a primary health center on a rural population of 30 thousand in general areas and 20 thousand in tribal/desert areas.
He informed that against the requirement of 8 primary health centers in Panchayat Samiti Balotra, 9 primary health centers and 6 primary health centers in Panchayat Samiti Kalyanpur against the requirement of 5 primary health centers as per the norms set on the basis of the estimated rural population of the year 2011. Centers are approved. Thus, in Panchayat Samiti Balotra and Kalyanpur, the primary health centers in Balotra and Kalyanpur are not currently under consideration to upgrade the sub-health centers to primary health centers due to the approved norms.
