Army officer’s father died in a road accident
Durg. A BSP worker riding a bike died in a road accident last night under Newai police station in the district. He was returning home with his family late at night by bike. Suddenly the balance of the bike deteriorated on the way and it collided with the pole. The youth was taken to Sector 9 Hospital due to serious injuries.
He died during treatment there. The police is probing the matter by establishing a case. Newai police said that Digambar Sahu (49 years), a resident of Sector 10 Road 42, had gone to Risali on Sunday with his family on a bike. From there, he was returning back to his home late at night. On the way, suddenly the balance of Dingambar’s bike deteriorated and he collided with the pole. As soon as the information was received, the police reached the spot. The police admitted the injured to Sector-9 Hospital, the main hospital of Bhilai Steel Plant. Digambar was shifted to the ICU when his condition became critical there. He died during treatment there. After this accident, there is mourning in the whole family.
Digambar Sahu was working as Senior Staff Assistant in BSP. His daughter Urmi Shahu has been selected for lieutenant in the army. His training is going on in Pune. There he has a son, who is studying in class 9. His wife is a nurse in Sector 9 Hospital.
