Army’s big action, killed four terrorists
New Delhi: Security forces have killed four terrorists in a joint operation in Sindhra area of Poonch. The first encounter between the security forces took place around 11:30 pm last night following which drones with surveillance equipment were deployed. The encounter resumed this morning with heavy exchange of fire between security forces and terrorists. Indian Army Special Forces, Rashtriya Rifles and Jammu and Kashmir Police personnel were part of the operation along with other forces. The terrorists killed in the operation are most likely foreign terrorists and their identity is being ascertained. Indian Army officer has given this information. Presently the number of active terrorists in the valley is around 50. Apart from this, there are currently 20-24 foreign terrorists in the valley. According to central agencies, 30-35 terrorists are local and the rest are foreign terrorists. Last month itself, DGP Dilbag Singh had told that we have surrounded the eco system of terror from all sides. Be it action on stone pelters or separatists, action on financiers or confiscation of weapons coming through drones from across the border. Police and security forces have succeeded in controlling terrorism to a great extent.
