Arvind Kejriwal did not get bail from the High Court, stay on the decision of the lower court
Delhi. Chief Minister Arvind Kejriwal has got a setback from the Delhi High Court in the liquor scam case. The High Court has stayed the decision of the lower court granting bail to Kejriwal. The court, while starting the hearing of the case, said that the vacation bench of the lower court used its discretion while granting bail to Kejriwal.
The High Court said that we heard both the parties. But the lower court did not consider the documents of the ED. The lower court did not consider the double conditions of section 45 of PMLA.
The ED has challenged the order of release of Kejriwal on bail in the Delhi High Court. The ED says that the lower court had granted bail to Kejriwal in a one-sided manner. Additional Solicitor General SV Raju, appearing on behalf of the ED, had argued before the High Court that the order of the lower court is one-sided and wrong, which is based on irrelevant facts. The lower court did not consider the facts at all. There cannot be a better case than this to cancel the bail.
