Assam government will finance girls’ education: CM Sarma

Guwahati: Assam Chief Minister Himanta Biswa Sarma on Thursday said the government will take responsibility for postgraduate education of women students and will also provide life insurance to ration card holders. The Chief Minister said that from this year onwards, all girls passing Class 10 exams will be given a bike or scooter besides transferring Rs 10,000 to their bank accounts for two years to prepare for Class 12 board exams
