Attempt to kill cow, youth absconded after stabbing

Durg: On Monday night, in Ruabandha of the district, a youth attacked a pregnant cow with a knife. The cow is about 4 to 5 months pregnant. The accused first stabbed, due to which the cow ran ahead to save itself, then the accused also ran after the cow to take out his knife. This entire incident was captured in the CCTV camera. The owner of the accused cow and animal lovers together have lodged a report of the incident with the Bhilai Nagar police station this morning and have demanded appropriate action against cow violence.

At the same time, when the owner of the cow saw the knife stuck in its stomach in the morning, he immediately called the doctor and informed the police about the incident. The doctor took out the knife from the cow’s stomach and handed it over to the police who reached the spot. At the same time, while investigating the case, the police saw the recording of the CCTV camera, then the entire incident was captured in the CCTV camera, on the basis of which the police have identified the accused and started searching for him. ⁠

According to information received from the police, the accused was identified as Ramshankar, age 27 years. Police said that the accused has already gone to jail in a criminal case. After committing the violent incident with the cow, the accused is absconding.
