Attempt to murder during picnic party, attacked with sharp weapon for giving less vegetables
Raipur. The accused who attempted murder during the picnic party have been arrested. The applicant came to the police station and filed a report that on 27/01/2024, he had gone for a picnic at Bade Talab Par along with the people working with him. Hamal’s companion Suraj Chaturvedi and his younger brother Khileshwar Chaturvedi, who lived in the neighbourhood, were abusing his mother Vahan by saying that he has been given less vegetables at around 03:30 in the afternoon while eating, then the applicant told him to eat more. With the intention of killing the applicant, Suraj Chaturvedi and Khileshwar Chaturvedi started abusing the mother and sister and started beating her with their fists and with the intention of killing everyone who should get vegetables to eat.
During the assault, Suraj Chaturvedi took out some sharp object kept in his pocket and attacked the applicant fatally, causing serious injury to the applicant’s genitals. The applicant suffered injuries on the right side of his face and body due to those people assaulting him with their hands and fists, and on the report, a crime was registered and investigation was taken up.
After searching for the address of the accused, they were taken into custody and interrogated in front of witnesses. A memo statement was recorded in which they confessed to the crime. One piece of vegetable cutting knife used in the incident was seized from the accused Praveen alias Suraj Chaturvedi. When evidence of crime was found, the accused were duly arrested in Sadar and presented before the court on judicial remand.
