Attempt to murder elder brother’s son and daughter, attacker uncle arrested

Sukma. On Friday night, an uncle fatally attacked his nephew and niece in Menttaguda village of Errabor police station area of the district. In this incident, both of them have been admitted to the district hospital in critical condition, while the police has arrested the accused uncle. Police station in-charge Balram Baghel said that between 6 to 7 pm on Friday night, residents Anita (16 years) and Korram Ramesh (9 years) had gone to see their farm located at some distance from their house. Meanwhile, due to the fear of evening and darkness, both the children sat under the tree and were waiting for someone to come. Meanwhile, her uncle Darmu Lachha started attacking Anita’s hands and head with a sharp weapon that used to extract toddy in his hand. While starting, Korram attacked Ramesh on his hands, shoulders, elbows, back, head and the back of his neck.

Hearing the voices of the children, some people saved them and took them to the district hospital, while after the incident the accused fled from the spot. As soon as information about the incident was received, the police team reached the spot, took information about the health of the injured and also inquired about the accused. The police caught the accused in the night itself. Considering the condition of the injured children, it is being said that they will be sent to Mekaj.
