Attention Meteorological Department issued warning of heavy rain across India

New Delhi: The India Meteorological Department (IMD) on Wednesday issued a warning of extremely heavy rainfall in areas like Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Coastal Karnataka, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Telangana in the next two days. The IMD has predicted that heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, North Haryana, Chandigarh and West Uttar Pradesh over the next three days. At the same time, there are chances of light and heavy rain at some places in Northwest India. The IMD said that rain is likely over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Punjab, Haryana, Chandigarh, Delhi and West Uttar Pradesh from Wednesday to Saturday. East Uttar Pradesh may receive rain from Friday to Sunday. At the same time, it is expected to rain in Rajasthan and Jammu and Kashmir from Wednesday to Friday. In addition, heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely over Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand from Wednesday to Friday and over Haryana, Chandigarh and West Uttar Pradesh on Wednesday and Thursday. Light and isolated heavy rainfall is likely over central India during the period from Wednesday to Saturday. Vidarbha may receive extremely heavy rainfall at isolated places on Wednesday and Thursday. Very heavy rainfall very likely at isolated places over Chhattisgarh from Wednesday to Friday. Light to moderate rainfall is likely over West India, with very heavy falls in some areas. Ghat areas of Konkan, Goa and Madhya Maharashtra may receive rain from Wednesday to Saturday. Heavy rainfall may occur at isolated places over Gujarat region and Marathwada on Wednesday and Thursday. In addition, Ghat areas of Konkan, Goa and Madhya Maharashtra may receive extremely heavy rainfall on Wednesday and Thursday. In addition, light to isolated heavy rainfall is likely over South India. Coastal Andhra Pradesh, Yanam, Telangana and Coastal Karnataka are likely to receive rain from Wednesday to Friday. Very heavy rainfall may occur over Rayalaseema and Interior Karnataka on Wednesday, while rain is likely over Telangana, Coastal Andhra Pradesh and Yanam on Wednesday and Thursday. On the other hand, heavy rains are expected in Coastal Karnataka on Wednesday. IMD said, light to heavy rains are expected over East India till July 30, while Odisha is likely to receive heavy rainfall at isolated places. Rainfall is likely over Sub Himalayan West Bengal and Sikkim from July 26 to 28 and over Jharkhand, Bihar on Saturday. Moderate to heavy rain is expected over Northeast India till July 30. Very heavy to very heavy rainfall is likely at isolated places over Arunachal Pradesh, Assam and Meghalaya on Friday.
