Auto driver killed young man when he protested against paying more fare
Bengaluru (IANS) | An auto driver in Assam killed a 28-year-old man in Bengaluru. It is being told that the only fault of the victim was that he protested against the accused auto driver for charging more fare. The police gave this information on Monday. Accused has been arrested. The incident took place on Sunday night near Yeshwantpur soap factory under Subramaniam Nagar police station area. The deceased has been identified as Ahmed. His brother Ayub was seriously injured in this incident.
According to the police, the victims took an auto from their workplace to reach their home in Yeshwantpur area.
On this, when the accused auto driver Ashwath asked for double the fare, the brothers started questioning him. The argument soon turned violent and the auto driver attacked the two brothers with a weapon.
Police reached the spot, gathered information about the accused and arrested him. Police has started further investigation.
