Banakalagi Niti: Puri Jagannath Temple will remain closed for 4 hours tomorrow

Puri: According to reliable reports, Puri Jagannath temple will remain closed for four hours on Wednesday i.e. tomorrow for Bankalagi policy. According to available reports, Puri Jagannath Temple will remain closed today from 4 pm to 8 pm i.e. for four hours.

Puri Shrimandir temple administration said on Tuesday that the Bankalagi policy of Lord Jagannath and brothers and sisters will be done on Wednesday. In the Bankalagi Niti or ritual, the faces of the Holy Trinity will be decorated by Datta Mahapatra Sevayats using sacred and traditional colors like saffron, green, red, black and white.

After the completion of Bankalagi Niti, Lord Jagannath will be given a ceremonial bath, marking the completion of the ritual. This ceremonial bath is traditionally known as ‘Maha Snan’. After which, the doors of the temple will once again be opened for visitors.
