Bank auditor arrested red handed taking bribe
Kaithal. The ACB team of the district has arrested Roshan Lal, the auditor of the Co-operative Society Bank of Titaram village, red handed while taking a bribe of Rs 1 lakh. According to the information received, Pax Bank has been set up in village Titaram. Where Auditor Roshan Lal had come for the last 10 days to conduct audit.
During the audit, he raised objections pointing out many flaws in the records. Therefore, in return for removing the objection, a demand of Rs 1 lakh was made from PACS Manager Amrit Lal. After which Manager Amrit Lal informed this to the Anti Corruption Bureau team of Kaithal. On the basis of the complaint, a team was formed under the chairmanship of in-charge Sube Singh.
Irrigation Department Executive Engineer Prashant Kumar was appointed duty magistrate in the team. According to the team, the bank manager gave a bribe amount of one lakh to Roshan Lal after 5 pm.
After this, as soon as the accused auditor Roshan Lal moved forward on his bike with the money, the ACB team waiting for the spot caught him red handed in the middle of the road near JBN School, Titaram. When the team searched him, a bribe amount of Rs 1 lakh was recovered from his possession.
The team arrested the accused auditor Roshan Lal and took him to the Anti Corruption Bureau office in Kaithal. Vigilance Inspector Sube Singh, in-charge of Kaithal, said that the team has arrested Roshan Lal, auditor of Pax Bank in Titaram village, taking bribe of one lakh. They are continuously arresting corrupt officers and employees and sending them behind bars. This campaign of his will continue in future also.
