Bear’s body found, injury marks on head
Korba: The body of a bear has been found on the roadside between Devpahari and Lemru forest. The discovery of the bear’s dead body caused a sensation. On the information of the incident, the Forest Department team has reached the spot and got involved in the investigation. This case pertains to Lemru forest range of Korba forest division.
According to the information, on Thursday morning, when the passers-by were passing through the Lemru forest range of the forest division, they were scared to see the dead bear. They thought that the bear was alive and must be resting, but when there was no movement even after a long time, then they went near and saw that the bear was dead. After which the passers-by informed the Forest Department. On the information of the incident, the officers and team of the Forest Department reached the spot. Where the Forest Department team is assembled. During investigation, there were injury marks on the bear’s head. Looking at the injury, it is suspected that the bear may have died due to being hit by a speeding vehicle. In this case, Korba DFO P Arvind told that Lemru Ranger was sent to the spot as soon as the information about the incident was received. Where investigation action has been initiated.
