Beneficiaries who are not interested in PM housing construction should start the work within 1 week

Under the Pradhan Mantri Awas (Rural) Yojana, 47 thousand 796 houses have been approved from the year 2016 to 2023, out of which 44 thousand 725 houses have been completed. Construction work of 3071 houses is going on. The beneficiaries of such houses in progress are not interested in building houses, they were contacted door to door and motivated to complete the construction of houses. The Chief Officer of Panchayat and Rural Development Department in the district, Project Director Harishankar Chauhan and his team went door to door to the beneficiaries in all the incomplete houses of Gram Panchayat Thakurdia, Chhote Kosir, Tamandih, Amjhar under Janpad Panchayat Sarangarh and contacted the beneficiaries and motivated them to complete the houses. The Gram Panchayat and Janpad Panchayat tried to know the reason for not completing the houses by contacting the beneficiaries from the proposed list of houses that could not be built. Under this, the Gram Panchayat and Janpad Panchayat have received a proposal to cancel the houses of such beneficiaries by contacting the beneficiaries. Those beneficiaries are informed that they must start their houses within a week and compulsorily inform the Janpad and District Project Director Panchayat Office. If the houses are not started or information about starting them is not given within a week, then those houses will be cancelled and the information of such a person will also be deleted from the PM Awas Gramin Portal. Due to this, their family will not be able to get the benefit of housing. Action will be taken to recover the amount of the installment issued for their houses. The customers themselves will be responsible for this.
