Bhubaneswar: Physiology professor arrested for cheating people

Bhubaneswar: Cyber police has arrested a physiology professor for cheating people by posing as Vigilance SP in Puri. The accused professor has been identified as Manoj Kumar Majhi, a native of Krishnaprasad, Puri.

Reports say, the professor has duped a contractor, Manoj Chaudhary, and asked him to pay security money to get listed in the vigilance panel’s work list. Chaudhary initially paid him Rs 5 lakh and later paid the professor Rs 2.60 lakh.

Later, when he came to know that he was a fraud, he contacted the cyber police and informed them about the incident. After this the police got all the evidence and he was arrested from Krishna Prasad of Puri.
