Bhupesh Baghel wrote a letter to Prime Minister Narendra Modi

Raipur. Chief Minister Bhupesh Baghel has written a letter to Prime Minister Shri Narendra Modi requesting to remove the ban on farmers’ bonus. He has written in the letter that the bonus amount of the farmers is their rightful right. Farmers were to receive Rs 3700 crore of bonus amount for the two years 2014-15 and 2015-16, which is stuck due to the ban on bonus by the Central Government. The Chief Minister has written in the letter that in the year 2013, a promise was made to the farmers that each of their grains would be purchased, paddy would be purchased at the rate of Rs 2100 per quintal and a bonus of Rs 300 per quintal would be given. In the year 2014, bonus on agricultural produce was banned by the Central Government. Due to this, farmers could not get the bonus for the year 2014-15 and 2015-16. This amount is Rs 3700 crore which is still not received by the farmers.
